ANDREW W.K. Names New Album

March 13, 2003

ANDREW W.K. has set "Blow Your Bone" as the working title for the follow-up to his critically-acclaimed debut, "I Get Wet", tentatively due in September through Island DefJam Records.

"We had some problems," W.K. said of the working title during an interview with Rolling Stone. "It was supposed to be about taking a bone — like a chicken bone that a dog would want to chew on — and blowing it up with dynamite. People read into that in a weird way. Some stores said they wanted to carry the next record but didn't want that title, to the point where we were forced to change the name. It still might be called that . . . At the end of the day I'm going to do what I want to do and we'll deal with it when it comes."

ANDREW W.K. is working with producer Mr. Boesch at a New York City studio and is sifting through twenty-five tracks for the effort. "Just to give a general sense," he says, "it's really going to blow the other album out of the water in terms of content and in terms of actual quantity."

Among the tracks set to be included on the forthcoming album are the following:

01. Violent Life
02. Never Ending Party
03. Close Calls With Brick Walls
04. Kicks and Bricks
05. Addicted to Life
06. I Am Totally Stupid
